Recently described as a "New Jazz Power Source" by the New York Times. Chicago cellist and composer Tomeka Reid has emerged as one of the most original, versatile, and curious musicians in the Chicago's bustling jazz and improvised music community over the past last decade. Along with fellow musicians Silvia Bolognesi, composer and bassist who is no stranger to the Chicago music scene herself. Since 2009 she has regularly performed throughout the city with string trio Hear In Now, which she co-leads. Bolognesi also maintains her own record label entitled Fonterossa. Pasquale Mirra, considered one of the most exciting vibraphone player of the Italian and international scene. He has also been a stable member of the Mop mop for ten years, performing in several European festivals. Mirra also took part in the sound track for 'To Rome with Love' by Woody Allen. Finally Cristiano Calcagnile, drummer, percussionist, composer and performer has built a international reputation collaborating with great names in jazz, contemporary and pop music. His work is well known in the European experimental scene and his aesthetic is a well balanced melange that remains connected to his attitude to research, developing boarder lined music.
